The rooms at Girilena Resort were cozy and comfortable, making us feel right at home. The triple room we stayed in had a flat-screen TV with amazing mountain views, and the air conditioning kept us cool throughout our stay. The private bathroom and wardrobe were convenient amenities that added to the overall comfort of the room.
I personally would have preferred if the double room had a garden view just like the triple room. But hey, that's just my personal preference.

Our stay at this resort was exceptional. We received great value for our money with a beautiful room, complete with a private terrace overlooking the lovely garden. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the mesmerizing Cave temples. The staff at the resort treated us with utmost kindness and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
The breakfast offerings could be improved with a wider variety of choices.

Bathroom smell was a minor issue.

The dinner organized by the host was mind-blowing and the breakfast was delicious with local flavors. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and cozy. The location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the Rock temple, making it convenient for sightseeing. we had a wonderful experience and enjoyed every moment of our stay.
No cons at all! Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations.

Superb stay! Loved the lush garden and the terrace view. Conveniently close to Popham's Arboretum. Just wish the bike and car hire options were more limited. I mean, who needs transportation options when you can just stroll everywhere, right?

the owner was incredibly pleasant and happy to assist. On arrival, we received a plate of incredible fruit and later enjoyed a delicious avocado smoothie. the breakfast in the morning was a nice change from other homestays, with properly cooked eggs and a variety of options. the room was nice, with a balcony overlooking the garden, and the bed was comfortable with a mosquito net provided. the highlight of our stay was the amazing shower with a rain head. the resort is also conveniently located, with the cave temple just a 10-minute walk away and the bus station for onward travel to Kandy a short ride away. the owner even arranged an elephant safari trip for us, which was an awesome experience. Girilena Resort was a fantastic place and likely the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. Cons: Nothing not to love! ❤️.

The rooms at Girilena Resort are cozy and comfortable, with everything you need for a budget stay. The beds are comfy, and the bedding and towels provided are clean and fresh. I loved the flat-screen TV in the triple room, it made late-night movie marathons even more enjoyable. Plus, the wardrobe came in handy for keeping my clothes organized.
I personally felt that the lack of a mountain view in the double room was a bit disappointing. But hey, everyone has different preferences, and this might not bother others who are more into the garden view.

The Guest House is nestled in nature, with a short walk to the rock temple. The house is new and people are very helpful. The dinner is one of the best in Sri Lanka. Good size, clean room. Sri Lankan breakfast included. Surroundings like a jungle, with monkeys. Owner is helpful.

As vegetarians and vegans, we loved the tasty and plentiful food options at the resort. the all-you-can-eat buffet dinner was absolutely spectacular, and the lovely wife of the host cooked everything wonderfully. the resort's location was also perfect for us, as we could easily walk to the famous cave temple in just 10 minutes.
We felt really welcomed throughout our stay at the resort and had no reason to complain.

I had an amazing stay at this lovely resort! The room was spacious and comfortable, with a terrace that overlooked a beautiful garden filled with adorable monkeys. The staff, especially Dilshan and his team, were incredibly kind and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. They even helped me organize a surprise birthday celebration for my friend, complete with decorations and a cake. The food at the resort was absolutely delicious, with the breakfast and dinner being the best I had during my trip. The location was also great, with the cave temples just a short walk away. Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the occasional mosquito and a slightly average bathroom, this did not greatly impact my overall experience. I would definitely return to Girilena Resort and highly recommend it to others.
